With shipping costs what they are, I'm over the limit before I put anything into the box. Fortunately this year it's Hoard to the rescue. My giftee even wants some things I have sitting around and wondered what to do with. Bingo!

I remember last time we were over in UK/Europe,every morning I'd watch this old show that had a Brit w/ a Hitler mustache called-'On the Buses',also got totally hooked on a show called 'Time Team' (excellent-binged it 4 the next 2 months during the early Covid lockdown). One late night in Chelsea a show aired where all the contestants were stark naked,a dating game show.

'Time Team' kept me sane during the first dark months of Covid. As a 70 year old I took a 2 month (unpaid of course) from my job-it was a damned generous company, and you remember how they kept telling seniors to shelter in place.
All my UK friends knew Tony Robinson as Baldrick from the Black Adder series, watched that later too-hilarious.
Is 'Naked Attraction' actually on BBC or Sky TV,or some smaller underground channel ? The US Evangelicals would be pitching a frothing fit if that aired in the States.

Naked Attraction is Channel 4 a mainstream Channel. Not one I watch, once you’ve seen one…..
Re On The Buses, it was funny in the 1970s.
The Jack character womaniser who gave out the bus tickets was a trained RADA actor but never shook off being typecast as Jack. Blakey was the one with the toothbrush moustache.

3/4's of US television hits are ripoffs of UK shows.Boy,I sure did love 'Time Team',that's some real pickin'. If I we had lived in Britain and I had a metal detector,I may not have been able to hold down a steady job (surrounded by all that treasure). Ah well, the spouse and family's happy with the way it turned out.

I love Channel Four. It has this lunatic eclectic mix of programming and superb news coverage.

    You'd be mudlarking too.

You might enjoy River Hunters on Sky if you can get it. There’s a couple of men with underwater detectors that go hunting for artifacts, one is American I think named Beau Ouimette and a British man called Rick Edwards who detect in U.K. rivers near castles, ancient battle areas, crossings etc

I have a metal detector and have found lots of Roman, Celtic, Viking artifacts.
I don't have time to do it now and if I did I would have to drag my leg like Forrest Gump because the detector picks up my titanium screws and plates in my left leg and ankle:cool:

There's a foul joke in there somewhere, but I've honestly tried to forget my fourth grade humor. Maybe you need to bring the doggie and let him carry the detector. Keep it away from the false positives.

Davey-Now that I'm many moons removed from 18,think I'll be needing a new knee soon. The physicality of your work seems like it could be challenging. As far as Detecting-could you wrap leg in some kind of (I'm being serious here) 'cloaking material' that would camouflage the titanium ?
Would like to see some of Your Viking,Celt & Roman stuff some time.

I'm seriously thinking of what my new knee will do to my dream of some day metal detecting-always thought it'd be a kick.

I want to try it when I retire. I am 40 minutes from Ocean City, Avalon, Cape May, etc. Lots of rich shore towns here.

The sea air also does wonders for your lungs. I have been down with Covid-19, and the only thing that started my recovery was walking for hours on the Ocean City Beach. Hope to be treasure hunting this weekend.
