Hello everyone! Does anyone recognize this blue ashtray? It's around 7 1/2" across, 2 1/8" tall and very heavy. Looks like a mid-century modern design to me. Any help regarding manufacturer, etc. would be much appreciated. Thank you.

    Did you already check Viking?

Thanks for the suggestion, cluttered! I checked my Dean Six Viking book and did a google search but couldn't turn it up. I think it's a bit thicker and heavier than Viking. The book stops at 1970, though, so the ashtray may have been produced after that date.

Your suggestion did make me think of Blenko as a possibility. I think I'll research that for a bit too.

Don, are the slots big enough for a cigar? The cigar people like big ashtrays and seem to pay more than an ashtray for cigarettes:)

The other company that crossed my mind was Indiana. Maybe for Tiara.
Use Tree bark as a descriptive.

I have to run. Sorry I can't help search.

I wish it was a cigar ashtray but the slots are too narrow.

Unsigned unfortunately. Could be Scandinavian though?

Thank you both for sharing your thoughts.

Tree bark brought up an Anchor Hocking ashtray which I currently have for sale as an ebay auction. That puppy is worth watching for. It seems to be an easy sell if the price is right. I had both ashtrays squirreled away in a commode style end table in my guest room. I'm finally trying to deal with my out of control upstairs! I'll see what I can find about Indiana. I'm not that familiar with their later art glass line.

That size was often on a coffee table or desk and got filled up in a meeting or evening with a couple of drinks.
