Not sure how does it exactly work. Do you put incense in the big tube or in the cap? Or at the attached tube?
Or maybe could be dual used. Incense sticks to burn in the side tube, store the in the big one. Maybe paste or powder incense in the cap. What is that little thingy for?
Wonder what is that substance that was used as an adhesive.
I guess the stone are cheap ones.
Not sure of the origin. Doubt it is Chinese. Maybe from India. Or South America?
    Thanks

    Hi,
It looks like the incense stick was put in the holder on the bottom. That way the "smoke" would come out the holes. The extra sticks were stored in the attached tube. Looks like the stones may be turquoise pebbles or agate

I vote India. On the following Incense Burner Museum website page is a pic showing several bamboo incense sticks with gemstones embedded. Some of the stones are green like yours. The country of origin is said to be India. The ones pictured all have a gargoyle tops to them and none have that extra tube attached to the side. The site are dating those in the picture as 2000.

3rd. pic/listed down from the top. 10 are in the one pic.
