Greetings, Forgive me since I'm relatively new to antiques. I was helping at my aunts house which was formerly my great grandparents home when she asked if I could find information about some of the things she had. Such as this vase.

[IMG] [IMG] I've since gone back home, my aunt lives about an hour or so from me next time I'll get better pictures. Also there was this cool soup tureen didn't take a picture of the inside but the mark said "Kuba Porzellan Bavaria • Germany" [IMG][/IMG]

Sounds like you have some interesting things. Photos all the way around top and bottom and close up of marks will help the people who know something to help you.

Also use Insert as Full Image like this:

Hi Verdis_quo . Nice piece that you have there! I would suggest using Google Photo search
Capture.JPG
and using the picture Aquitaine updated for you. You will see several similar pieces.

My first thought would be Limoges or Sevres, but like other members are saying, it would greatly help to have a few more close up pictures. Especially of the bottom markings.

Very nice vase either way!

Great idea! one of the first results ended up being the exact same one, the site describes it as a Limoges blue cobalt hand-painted vase, apparently, my great-grandparents had bought it as a set of two duplicate vases but when they passed in the 90's my family hired an appraiser who ended up breaking the other one and stealing some stuff.

That's far from the only thing in there when I go back to D.C I'll be sure to take some more pictures, also wheres a good place to compress photos to fit within the 1mb max upload?

From @@Aquitaine
To start, IF you're using a cell phone, you might try emailing EACH photo to yourself.....as a MEDIUM sized image. Once that's done, you can load 10 photos in each 'post' AND DON'T HESITATE TO ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU HAVE ANY!!! I'm also going to list below a couple of ways to get your images up.

Each image MUST be UNDER 1 MB....
There are instructions on site here on how to reduce the size of your image, if that is the problem......you are allowed up to 10 images per post!!! Here are some links to the instructions:

If on the computer:
https://www.antiquers.com/threads/posting-a-thread-and-uploading-pictures.15990/

If on an iPhone:
https://www.antiquers.com/threads/resizing-photos-on-i-phone.35097/

And if on an Android phone:
https://www.antiquers.com/threads/using-an-android-phone-for-pics-on-antiquers.41709/

ALSO, JUST BEFORE you hit "Post", be sure to click on the VERY TOP IMAGE in your list that says to "POST EVERY IMAGE FULL SIZE"....it will do the rest for you!!!

Phone, believe it or not, I have a certificate in Principles Of Arts, Media, & Communication (not that it's difficult to get)but from my camera work, you'd never know. One would assume I'd have learned to take a good picture by now. I was always better at writing anyways.

Thank you for the response, I'll be sure to tell my aunt about it. The house is becoming more than she can manage and though she'd love for everything to stay in the family she realizes it's just not possible. Part of the reason why I'm here for research.

KikoBlue and Komokwa gave you some good advices for image size. Another tool you can try is this online tool : https://www.photopea.com/

It's free. You just Drag and Drop the pictures that are high resolution and export as jpeg. You can select the quality, drop it down to say 60% and your pic is now under 1mb.

I hope that helps.

Cheers!
