Miniature pastel landscape signature help and critique of course

    This came from another thrift
    Actual painting measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/2"
    Obviously, frame was added later.

    Why don't you think the frame is contemporary with the work? I'd think a student work from the signature.

    The mat was trimmed for one thing.

    Actually it was one of those prints that the mat was printed on and someone just cut cut the print out of the center.
