    I only asked because some of the china heads did have a pinkish tone.

    I'm not all that familiar with the china heads....

    The letter gives an idea as to how old at least SOME part of the doll is on the first page!! I think it’s just an interesting read.........

    BTW....don't be afraid of removing the pins....you can always put them back!!

    Curious.....are they push pins aka common pins, or safety pin type?

    Hi Aquitaine,
    Some of the shoes she builds are wonderful also. She says she makes the shoes for taller dolls since her fingers can not bend and wrap the leather needed for the smaller dolls. I have one doll she made 5 years ago. I'll have to dig her out for photos. Diana is a wonderful person. She has a 200 year old tall clock that has not run for 25 years since she does not like the sound of the bell. I changed the strike so it strikes on a rod instead of the bell. The bell sound was weird so I bypassed it to strike on a spring rod.

    @Christmasjoy
    I think there are white spots. See the red circles
    The blue appear to be reflection

    @Aquitaine
    Do you have a magnifying glass to double check?

    TY......I couldn't quite make out what came after GREEN! LOL!

    The pins with the red heads are pretty modern.

    You know one thing, the head fits the time period, and the body is at least as old as 1949.

    Does she wear a dress or just what you show?

    I can't find a good example on line that isn't Pinterest....(gosh I'm starting to really dislike that site)......
    same style as above, dark dress, tiny print, and perhaps buttoned down the front. More "everyday" type:cat: .

    Displaying her as pictured is lovely too.

    Thank you all for your wonderful thoughts!!!! Having not seen that doll or letter before, it just makes me wish it had been at least shared with me back then......or possibly it was and I’ve totally forgotten it!!! Giving the benefit of doubt since it all WAS a while ago!!
    So should I start a new thread or just add the 10 more “nekked” images here????? Looking at her more carefully was a little surprising!!!!

    How nice to have that letter to go along with the doll and the bed. I don't live far from the Greenbush area and the Greenbush train is only a short distance from here. The rotary was only installed a few years ago. I still find it confusing. :confused:
