Aqua Pressed Glass Mug Animal Head

Very rough edges and seems but no idea if old or not.
Any thoughts?

Purpose; Bock (first beer in the spring) beer. Note the notch near the top of the handle, made for a pewter lid. At the very least it was made in an old mould.

 

apparently if you add "Chivo Pulqueria" to rams head they become very desirable....

Ah yes, Bock beer - can still remember the headache. I think the ram's head designates what hit you after about 6 of them

When I lived in Pittsburgh in the 1950s. Fort Pitt beer always offered Old Frothingslosh beer at Christmas time it was famous for having the foam on the bottom. They pasted the labels on upside down. The stupid things you remember when you forget your phone number.

I don’t know what happened to the bottom edge of mine. Came like that out of the mold or damages later?

 

This type of Mexican glass is very fragile. Chips are not uncommon.
I used to have beer glasses, similar greenish glass but in the shape of a high boot. Lovely when I bought them but started getting chips in a month or so.

 

I think the "Pressed Glass Chivo Pulqueria - Original" on ebay looks like a rendition of yours.

Yous has a different texture and what looks like authentic wear... jmo

 

There are many Mexican factories that produce similar designs in pressed glass and sometimes it's impossible to say where it came from. The quality varies though. The wear also might come from quality

 

Ok, according to the article that I found, this is a pulque glass. In the 'golden' epoch of pulque, before beer entered to Mexican market in 50s-60s of the 20th and killed the whole pulque industry, every pulqueria had two-three types of special artesanal glasses, that had particular denomination and size. Yours is chivo but that doesn't mean that it belonged to a pulqueria with this name, it is rather a design that most probably is still reproduced.
The curious part for me is that I found the piña glass in this image, the same as I bought last year from a glass factory in Puebla being compeltely convinced that it serves for a sauce. The version of pulque didn't cross my mind even
