Pairpont plated bowl with glass liner

Hi,
I have had this bowl for years (just discovered). Sorry about the crappy photos.
It is 10" wide and 5" high. The decorative design is tiny roses,putti, other flowers and lattice. The bottom has Pairpont manufac the logo and quadtripled plate the # is 4781.
The glass insert is a deep cranberry color almost red. It has a bump which fits into the hole on the silver base. Does anybody have any idea on when it was made? I can not find it in any of my Pairpont sources. Thanks,

Well, with the "quadruple plated" it has to be first quarter of the 20th C. at the latest. Rainwater says they ceased "combined plating and glass" in 1929, but then resumed glass in the 70's (when they certainly would not have marked something "quadruple plate.)

Thanks for your reply. In my notes I have they stopped using quad plating in 1912. I am hoping someone has the model # of when. I am wondering if it is old enough for the glass to be Mt Washington?

Not in the reprint of their 1894 catalog. Also, I didn't notice any reticulated / pierced work either. I do like your bowl.

Thanks for looking. I saw a photo of a mustard with a blue liner that looked a little like my bowl but it had no information. I need to polish it. I was hoping that it would not be a mystery or I fear it will be tossed into the dumpster when I go.

Pretty berry dish, most likely dates to right around the 1894 merger with Mt. Washington under the Pairpoint name, or just a bit later, from the 1890s into the first few years of the 1900s - will run through some other manufacturer and retailer catalogs for similar embossed and pierced pieces later...

Might note - 'Quadruple Plate' was used well past the 1912 date often suggested (if I recall correctly, from a Rainwater reference?), though some of the large manufacturers stopped using it around then. Pairpoint was using 'Quadruple Plate' into the '20s, and the the FTC was also fielding complaints on the quality of various manufacturers' quadruple plate into at least the 1920s, several manufacturers had the term incorporated into trademarks that they renewed in the '60s, and it appears on items by companies that weren't even in existence until the mid 20th century. Don't believe I've run across any that seemed to date any later than the '60s...
