    Hello,

I’m a lover of old things! No, I’m not an expert & pick up items from time to time. Think my love for old stuff started when my great grandma passed. Mom told me about how the family was throwing away everything into dumpsters. She saved a few items & I acquired a R. Copley wall pocket.

Married almost 25 years to high school sweetheart. We have 5 kids ages 19,14,11,7 & 3. Spent first 13 years of marriage following my husband around in the Marine Corps. Next we moved back home & here we are!

Welcome! That looks like a Moderne -style dresser, i.e. late 40s/early 50s or from just before WWII. (since as any Marine would know, consumer goods weren't made much for the Duration) That 3/46 could easily be a production date. I'm betting @verybrad knows for sure. Nice sleek design, so I can see why you'd hang onto it. (so would I)

    Thank you for the welcome!

Should mention , The metal dresser is 38 across 35 tall and 19 deep.
Mirror detaches & it has a wood overlay finish if that makes sense? Picked this up yesterday for $50. Lady who had it bought it from a lady years ago & at that time was told it’s from a dorm room in the 40’s.
