ANY OLD DRUMMERS? FOUND 60's? MADE IN JAPAN YAMAHA DRUM SET w/ONLY 4 DIGIT SERIAL #

I found this drum set at a local thrift store today. It is a Yamaha made in japan set - but what made me get it is it only has a 4 digit serial number!
Is this a early Yamaha drum set like I think (hope!)?
Any idea of age?
Model?
It is covered in dust but that comes off easy enough (see 2 photos of bass - that's after just wiping it with a wet paper towel), but there is rust on the chrome parts (and stands that came with it) - what's the best way to get it off?

The manager at the thrift store told me the people who donated it said it was originally Phil Rudd of AC/DC before the last owner - any ideas how I could prove that?

 

Those are in rough condition. Really no other way to prove it unless paperwork. Otherwise stories are stories

 

Know what year or model it is? I only paid $100 so I'm thinking I can have them cleaned & still flip for a profit?

 

If they were Phil's.....he doesn't want them back..............
