Evely- Great Finds. My Wife & I are flying-up to Connecticut tomorrow to get in on this Goonies-sized treasure trove.Your state's the vortex that sucked up the world's lost treasure.
Seriously-great hauls always (plus it helps to have some expertise).

Thanks! I didn't even know the bird was in there, if you can believe it. i bought the bag of wounded pins for the horse. A good eye plus some dumb luck and there you go.

Hm. Glass and brass is Czech and I'm wondering if it's Neiger.

I found this Tiffany spoon mixed in with a bunch of silver plate. I paid $3.00
    The pattern is Faneuil.
It weighs a whopping 61.62 grams!

This Post is about 'Finding' not buying,so i hope i didn't break any posting etiquette.Feel free to let me know.
We went to our local Red,White & Blue Thrift Store yesterday & they had 7 or 8 wonderful Edwardian gold and opal brooches in the case.Thirty years ago I used to buy these for my lady and we've still got some period rings, lavalieres, etc around.
Of course the jewelry folks were lined-up 3 deep so i didn't request an up close showing, i could see the prices- $250-$350 each.
They limit each 'Joolie' to 15 minutes of loupe time, then they have to leave the line & wait an hour to queue-up again.
That's where jewelry prices are at in Portland.
I'd like to have bought her a couple pieces-but all that dough's going towards the Portugal/Spain Tour.

...or in the store! $10 for a costume pin, but $15 for French crystal? One guess which I opt for. They had some Judith Ripka pieces too at close to full retail; those stayed behind.
