A friend gifted me these two items of jewelry that he said he got for free at the end of an estate sale Unknown.jpeg Unknown-1.jpeg Unknown-2.jpeg Unknown-4.jpeg Unknown-10.jpeg Unknown-7.jpeg Unknown-9.jpeg Unknown-6.jpeg Unknown-5.jpeg Unknown-8.jpeg . The silver bracelet was indicated that it was from Thailand. It appears to be silver though Im not sure of the purity. The necklace has a toggle clasp and I've never seen stones like these. The smaller could be raw emerald or tourmaline? the large clear appear to be in the quartz family?

Can anyone help me identify these two pieces as far as origin and stone identification? Or maybe helpful terms for me to search that would steer me in the right direction?

Moss quartz on the clear stones. I can't decide on the smaller geen ones, but the interval ones look some kind of granite.

Maybe the smaller stones are emerald green quartz beads? Just going on some google searches here..

The green ones look like some sort of dyed stone. Dunno what.

Just popping in, I should be doing something else.:shame:
But I had to log in, because of that silver cuff. Mekanah, you have something rare there.:woot::woot: I think it is from Belu Regency, Timor, in Eastern Indonesia.

If you look up the island of Timor, Belu Regency is in the centre, it shares a border with the independent republic of East Timor.

Thank you so much Any Jewelry. I would have never figured that out. Do you know if they would be antique or contemporary?

Yes, they are hand made, using the lost wax technique rather than hammering a bar or sheet of silver into shape and adding the granules later.
A pair is perfect, a very tradtional way of wearing bracelets. They are worth more as a pair, don't know how much though.
It looks like it has some age, but probably not antique. Guesstimate mid-20th.
