Woodblock print ID

I was wondering if anyone might know who the artist is of this woodblock print? It's coming up for sale at a local auction. Thank you for any info. Sorry I could only get one pic of it.

Looks a bit like Utamaro Kunisada, but I'm no expert.
Could also be Toyohara Kunichika.
It's curious that the signature and other markings are missing from this image. This info should be intact.
Be careful that it is a genuine block print, not just a framed machine printed piece or a colored plate from a book.
Seeing as how it's framed and matted for the wall, I would expect some fading of the colors. The vibrant colors are a red flag that it might not be an authentic block print.

 

plus , the image is not one I'd put over my bed.......or anywhere in the house for that matter...

maybe desensitized ....as opposed to accustomed ....
it's nothing new.....and it has many permutations ..

are you referring specifically to conjugal ?

 

I don't think women are desensitized to it. And, an interesting question... Does the average viewer interpret the wood block as a conjugal scene? As in "What did she do to deserve it?"
