I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the detail on this little 2 1/2" tall egg.

Right after the quoted title, looks like it says BALUTA I K. ( Could be I. K. Baluta, perhaps?) Maybe the name of the painter?

I am using my phone right now and have not researched whether it could be something besides a person's name. Baluta does not feel like a Russian name to me.

 

Ok, quick search done. Baluta can be a surname. May be Ukrainian or Russan. The I K on the egg might or might be initials. The K has a blob after it and I'm not sure.

It is beautifully painted, that is for sure!
