Authenticy - Tiffany Cufflinks

Hi all, I saw a post asking about these cufflinks.
I am thinking of buying the following and wanted to know your thoughts.

Cufflinks look very good but the box is definitely off in color.

Please let me know what you think & if there is anything in particular to look for.

I can't help you with the cufflinks but as far as the box it may or not be authentic. If you search eBay you will see authentic empty Tiffany boxes for sale.

Unfortunately, you can not judge an item by the boxes, labels, stickers, or the actual marks on the item anymore due to those out there that seek to deceive you.

Someone will hopefully be along to help with the cufflinks.

 

Hard to say from here. They made 50 gazillion fake Return to Tiffany pieces, and some of them turn up in real boxes. I'd have to have them in my physical hands to even take a good guess.

 

Where are they for sale, who is offering them for sale and how are they priced? Unless a trusted source, I would be extremely cautious; the likelihood of them being genuine is very low. However, if you've set your heart on TIFFANY 'Please Return To' cufflinks... Here's a pair available on TheRealReal.com and I believe they authenticate.

If Tiffany quality control had inspected them they would have gone into the scrap bucket,poor solder joint.

Also take a close look at the ampersands on the box and the card. To my eye, they don't appear to be identical.

I ended up melting those cufflinks.

Thanks all, may have to give these ones a miss! Any idea where I can pickup 100% authentic ones? They have been discontinued by Tiffany!
