Totally would buy it as Navajo.

I still haven’t really looked at the sig but again, if AJ couldn’t find it I won’t either but I will look-just had hand surgery and still stitched. I absolutely could be wrong but my GUESS off a lifetime of wearing and handling NA jewelry is that it’s Navajo using artistry of Zuni (inlay) and Navajo (side stamping on bracelets-like the snake eye ones I pictured on the other thread).

Age-I guess later than 70s as Lonn Parker early unsigned ones were 70s but they were single color until later. That multicolor flush stone stuff was later-80s. Stamping absolutely existed way earlier but all artists wete signing everything in the 80s but the rough sandcast seems early. I gotta stick with early 80s. If late 70s whatever LOL.

I don’t own a ton of 80s forward NA jewelry as I’m basically interested in the older stuff but I iwn some and they’re all stamped with letters, names or symbols and sterling NO 925 on any. All mine stamped that way are 80s as they were bought by me from the artists in NM.

So that’s why I think early 80s and Navajo but i certainly could be wrong.

Less a problem as I’m right dominant and it’s my left hand but for sure I can’t use my keyboard. One finger phone wonder here. I’m pecking pretty good!

I hope you will feel better soon. When did they say you could use your hand again?
I mainly use Barton Wright's "Hallmarks of the Southwest" and some sites. I believe you have the one by Hougart?

This is a long shot but one time I listed a NA pottery pot and misidentified the area it was made. I had a nice message from an Indian organization that seems to "police" misinformation. I changed my listing. You might find some help from one of these organizations. ie www.indians.org › articles › tribal-art.html

oh ya....well I once listed a mask on my website.....and a Tribal Council authority, emailed me , asking me to return it to them....... Gratis...

You'd think that if it was that important.....and with the funds they control...they would have offered a fair price.....or something.
I'm not a US museum, who stole it from their ancestors!!!!

Yes Hougart and a bit online. Stitches come out Monday. It was a bad tendon. Flexibility is coming back-I’m really religious with the exercises but it hurts and I’m still numb. Kinda expecting some permanent nerve damage but we’ll see. I can’t lift anything with that hand and I keep waking up at night. We’ll see what my surgeon says Monday. This too shall pass but TY for asking!

That’s the same thing that happened to someone i know. It was a Canadian tribal mask-missing for decades. Bought at a US estate sale. The tribe threatened him-wanted it returned for free. Meanwhile 2 of the tribal members got into a bidding war-not knowing the other was bidding and he got way more for it than he expected.

Oh, reader, that sounds painful, do you have good pain meds? I hope the surgery will have done the job, and you will regain full use of the hand. Sending positive vibes.
