Featured silver & fossil? stone necklace

    hi folks

    something i found today in a charity shop for very little

    chain is silver and think the balls are too

    wondering what the stones are

    look like fossils ?, so thinking they might be dyed stones ?

    any info appreciated

    Similar specimens come from a variety of places. A Petoskey stone comes from Michigan. I went camping there and searched for a couple of days without finding any. People had them piled up around their houses. I was very jealous.
