Perfect, but I can see your point. Why would someone who had a silver cruet set leave the labels on the bottles.

Maybe not perfect, then. I don't have much experience with cruet sets. :D:D:D:D

Wonderful! So it's an Italian set? That is post 1968 (earlier than I thought). Thank you. I'll do some research on this. I think the letters are B?

Yes. I bought a desk, so I could work on projects, and moved a lot of my stuff into the desk. I usually am very organized, but I just threw things into the drawers without consideration. Now I have to hunt stuff down every time. :(:(:([/QUOTE]
I bought a desk for, well the things you use a desk for. Also to use as my shipping station. A neat little campaign/barristers desk. Three pieces top and two sides. Had to fit it in the back seat of Volvo so my options were pretty limited but I love barrister/campaign style furniture. As of the last year or more only about the center 30% or so is clear of debris. It’s not even clear of debris, it’s just small stuff I can easily move when I start packing every night. Drawers are a disaster but I at least know where everything is in them. I’ve made my desk all but useless. Bought a massive antique butcher block whose surface is so uneven it can’t really be used for too much. That became my shipping station before the desk. When it filled up I got the desk. Time for a third piece of furniture or time to clean. Not sure which.

I know the feeling. My desk was bought for the same thing and is equally covered. I am back at my dining room table again. Can we see your desk?

RCR is relatively inexpensive glass. Given the base is silver, I'd have expected "nicer" bottles, and probably cut at that.

That's probably why the "antique dealer" walked by and was mad when he saw me snag this little set.

I think I’d be too embarrassed lol. If I ever clean it off or even tidy it a bit I’ll take a photo. It is not only covered but surrounded by junk and the knee hole is filled with stuff. My photo would only show drawer fronts and a tiny patch of red leather on top. Unfortunately my collection and inventory has taken every available sq inch just about. I need to get a bit more disciplined and tidy.

I believe there's a carpet in my spare room.

    It's been a while.
