Featured Help With Etching Signature Please!!

Hello everyone!! I picked up this etching over the weekend. I am usually pretty good with signatures but this one has me baffled. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

It looks like it is embossed, raised from the back. The signature looks like a cypher. It may also be from another language. I’m stumped.

 

I learn something new every time I visit this forum. I never heard of a "Cypher". Like I said previously I am usually pretty good with signatures but this one has me baffled. Thanks so much for your information, I,m gonna do some more research.

Update this thread if you find the identity to this enigma. It kind of looks like "lol" -- but not a joke of the artist, since that abbreviation was not known 40 years ago.

 

Dating myself, and call me crazy, but that signature reminds me of Gregg shorthand.

 

Have you opened up the back to see what you could find?
