Large wall hanging- Greek? Age?

Hi all,please help me identify this. My research and translation attempts are not going great. Depicting some battle scene? It is stamped at the back. Looks fairly old to me. Pity about the damage. It’s 41cm wide. Thank you all and keep well.

True and that’s lucky. I think the damage might have occurred ‘recently’ while in storage (but I don’t really know) It was semi ‘buried’ in between other things. It really wasn’t properly stored or protected in any way.

I was wondering could this possibly depict Achilles battling Hector? I have seen the battle depicted in different ways ,scenes and versions. Any thoughts? Thanks

 

Just to add it has raised relief..

 

I can't really read Greek, but wonder if the word above the soldier at the upper right is a form of the name Menelaus (from the Trojan War)? Most of the letters look right, except the last one. I can't make out what the other word might be, though.

That’s just excellent. Thanks so such. Great find. The closest I could find was “Achilles fighting Hector over the body of Troilos”(but that didn’t make sense with the wording)

 

Any idea as to the age? I was wondering with the stamp on the back,maybe some museum copy?

Euphorbos -- that's what I couldn't read at the lower left.

Thank you for the kind wishes. I am being entertained by watching the change, almost hour by hour, in what color my face is & where. The bruising from my cheek area has made its way down to my jaw, which was uninjured, but now looks as though someone really walloped me. When I was in the waiting room Monday for follow up visit with maxillofacial surgery residents, a guy came over & asked what had happened to me because he thought maybe I'd been assaulted.

 

Well just take it easy and give it time..
