I think this was a wedding gift never used. They donated something else very nice. The RCR I know thanks to @Ownedbybear but the mark is a mystery. I got the 925 part. But I can't read the letters in the wreath - I tried Tm, Cm but with no success. I looked through the Italian silver marks and didn't find anything. I suspect the handle isn't silver, but I don't know. Can you help, please. I want to add it to my small silver piece collection.

Can you tell what is inside the rectangle on the left of the wreathed M?

Looks like it might be an Italian mark.

I see a S something and an 82. I can't find my loupe. I moved things around and I put it in a new spot, where it is lost. :D:D:D

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

I don't think it makes a lot of sense, but it ALMOST looks like that middle bit could say '5 1/2'........I really couldn't refine it much at all......

EDIT And I don't think this one's any better......my eyes have had it at this point....sorry......I've been looking through a loupe all afternoon as well!!!!

Maybe if you put a dab of silver cleaner on a q-tip & rub it inside the indentation the marks might become clearer.

It is indeed an Italian silver mark. Which doesn't mean it can't be plated, given it's an Italian mark. I think it is all silver though.

IMG_7271.JPG IMG_7270.JPG The 34 that @Aquitaine talks about is clearer. And the second photo shows an RC I think. I just don't have the right equipment to magnify it.

I don't think it is all plate at least the holders sre sterling, but the center part is heavy. I haven't handled enough silver pieces to know if it is silver too.

How well do those bottles fit? I'm not totally convinced they're original.

The fit does seem to be a bit loose.

I thought I was the only one who did that...........move something to a "better" spot, only to find the old way was much better! At least I could find it.................

I think everybody does that. I am reorganising things, putting everything related together in marked boxes. You'd think that is more organised, but I can't find a thing.:hilarious:

Ah. We can finally see the star at the left end. Post-1968. Center is the number assigned to the registrant. Right should be the 2 letters identifying the assay office.

Too late to not get old, Judy!

Yes. I bought a desk, so I could work on projects, and moved a lot of my stuff into the desk. I usually am very organized, but I just threw things into the drawers without consideration. Now I have to hunt stuff down every time. :(:(:(
