Possible Extremely Rare Silver Coin

    Any coin experts here? I signed up for cointalk, but my membership is awaiting moderator approval, so I thought I’d post here in the meantime, since it also falls in the Silver forum category

    1773 Mexico 1/2 Real “Carols Error”

    “Carolus III” (Charles III) is represented as “Carols III”

    PCGS has a population report of 1, graded at 8+

    I have found very few details on this scarce error coin, with one site claiming a “half dozen known to exist”. Mine is clearly off center top to bottom and details are rather worn

    I don’t have an account at any grading services, so it’s going to cost a bit to get it graded, if I choose to go that route

    any coin experts hanging around here that could offer an opinion?

    Personally I've not had any coin graded or slabbed, its a US thing
