Stamps, albums and collections - any advice?

    Good morning everyone...
    This is a bit out of my baileywick and I'm stumped - seems like an overwhelming job!
    I've just re-inherited my husband and his aunt's stamp collection / albums. I had "gifted" it to my daughter, hoping that someone in their family would be interested in continuing a collection...alas not.
    Hubby's aunt probably started hers in the 40's and bought lots of new issue blocks - and hubby probably started his in the 60's. In addition, there are some large bags of postmarked stamps from all over the world...

    I have no idea what to do with all of it to try and gain some value from it. Does anyone have any "general words of wisdom" re: such collections? Is there a list of "stamp people" somewhere? Is there a website that I can "chat" to avid collectors? Help?

    oh there's likely value there...and....lots of work !
    you'll have to be taking lots of close up photo's....get a magnifying photo app.

    & have fun !!
    Stamps are little works of art !!;):happy::happy:

    or...sell the whole shebang in one lot for an outrageous price !!:playful:

    There is a sister site for stamps related to Antiquers, but for the life of me I can't find a link or remember the name.
    It is sometimes advertised on the top banner of our site.
