My 10p bargain!
I think late 60s/early 70s. Sadly the Carnaby Caricatures/copyright design leads me nowhere but still a fun thing. A5 ish size so a decent size postcard.

Actually I’m not sure they have attributed that correctly. I can’t find any other link to Rene Martin, only the Martin that drew this also did lots of dodgy seaside photos!

 

In 1967 0r 68 We vacationed with friends outside of London. I bought a hot pants set. Cropped top and really short shorts. Of course I only weighted 80 lbs back then! I wonder if that is not the time period for this.

I had white satin hot pants, worn with an orange string knit top. Elderly Irish woman accosted me in, yes, Carnaby Street! What woulld yer mam say to yez wearing those, quoth she.

I politely replied that my mama had bought me them.

I do own a John Stephen black suede coat with fur cuffs.

 

None exist.

This is a neat one! I just bought a 1,000+ lot of of pre ww1 era postcards via online bid at local auction. Didn’t preview lot save for online photos. Got it home yesterday only to realize it’s 98-99% European, which postcard wise is not good usually $$ wise. They are basically all landmarks, landscapes, touristy type cards. No wonder I got it at the price I did I guess. Still wasn’t cheap though. My bad there. Anyone know any European cards of that description that happen to bring better money than others? Can’t imagine there really are but could be. Like Lake Tahoe, West Virginia, and Hawaii cards are better than other American cards in general. I did pull one early Hong Kong card out that had been sent to the former owner rather than collected by them on their European tour. I guess the fact they seem to have all been collected by one person on one or more tours rather than complied later may add a bit to their value to the right person.
