    Ditto.

    The Toubou dagger is nice and more traditional. The Toubou live in Libya, Chad, Niger, that general area.

    I have a tanto like that. There are a handful on eBay. If I recall they go for $100-$200 or so. Yours looks like it may may be a bit more detailed than some.

    I go with the ones saying souvenir.
    If you want to know for sure? Open it. Should be easy.

    Anecdote: Knew some japanese very good once. Asked them to let me make an original one made authentic old school, personally made for me.
    Tanto, smallest one, hoping cheapest.
    Would cost me $5000. :D (didn't do)
