It is stunning in person. I am in awe at the glass mastery that they were able to pull down the lines of flowers and stems.

 

When I picked full-time in the old days,it was harder than the 9 to 5 I landed in pre-retirement (but not as much fun & no insurance).The dream would be a trust-fund baby and a picker.

 

Or a retired Congresscritter with gold-plated insurance, a pension with an automatic COLA increase, AND a picker. Too much to ask though - who'd want to be in Congress?

Montana

Montana features both the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains and is one of the safest states from natural disasters. It is generally safe from hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes, however, it does experience flooding.

 

well I have been to Syracuse and Allentown as a kid for my dad's business trips.
All I remember was being in the mall for hours as he conducted work in his stores.

The one in Allentown had a wonderful cafeteria style restaurant in it.
You all know me, I hate snow, so these are not my choices...

 

Minneapolis MN has underground tunnels downtown, so people can still get around when it's really cold or snowy.

 

Sorry Ruth, tunnels or no tunnels, not going anywhere where it snows that much.
But Mary Tyler Moore had a nice place there for her apt on tv.

Pin on the right is confirmed D&E, shown in Pitman's book in a different color. The bar pin is 10K, not a great hard stone cameo, but I got it at a decent price.

The 'tunnels' are skyways - above the street
You can get around in them and be robbed, beaten, etc
Minneapolis is not safe - especially downtown

 

ugh. Allentown isn't the most glamorous, but I bet it's safer.

 

Art on glass. Charity shop find. Probably done by a hobbist but still not something I find or see everyday. The pink frame makes me think 80’s? Also looks a little incomplete to me. Should the lady not be coloured-in? Size 41x26cm

Ha ha True. Was thinking maybe white dress. But the arms and face? Anyway was for very little money and I like the overall look of it.

 

Baccarat Decanter. Thrifting allows me to buy pretty things at prices I wouldn't scoff at. Not that this was a great buy, but less than in Neiman Marcus.
