Thank you, but Cxgirl had already IDed the lamp. I just had to add my 2 cents as I seem to always do to any oil lamp message. :( I have been into oil lamps since I was 10 to 12 years old when I started collecting miniature & night light lamps. Needless to say those early ones of mine were mostly from the '30s & 40's and considered of no value then or now. They tended to be perfume/scented lamps or/and left over from the black-out days of WWII. In later years got more interested in all glass EAPG hand and footed hand lamps, figural spelter lamps and better miniature ones.

Went to a fabulous jewelry estate sale. A metal scrapper was getting rid of everything by his gold pieces. :)

Thanks, Greg. The guy will probably have more sales this summer. He said he had a lot more (he advertised 10,000 pieces, and he had two rooms full of jewels.) He sold most of it Friday when I had to work, dealers bought it, I got there Saturday around 11 a.m. Most pieces were a dollar. It still amazes me what people miss, though.

Marko, I opened this thread and the first thing that came up was the jewelry. That sash brooch is stunning!

That's one sale I'd hit twice too. Those are some seriously good finds for a buck each.

Nice pieces Marko. Was he in the jewelry business?

He buys and sells gold and silver. He ended up with tons of costume, but he missed the pearls and some serious signed costume pieces. The sash brooch was an antique mall find, the Ritz earrings a thrift shop find, they weren't a dollar, but they were a bargain. Here is some more from the estate sale:

Three pair of sterling earrings, one copper, Givenchy, and the faux onyx and rhinestone are Panetta

The above lot features three pair of genuine garnet earrings, the top pair genuine sapphires, the pearl earrings are Boucher, the pendant Wedgewood, the brooch next to it Reja (needs a stone), the clear crystal earrings are Weiss. I like the sea dragons missing one eye.

Today the insert image whatsis worked. The good part of today's finds. Nothing earth-shattering, but I did score some sterling. The white beads are no-account mother of pearl, destined for my bead bag. The red ones may be bakelite worry beads, no maybe on the worry bead part. The bottle opener just fell into the shot. The good part is the dish - Wallace sterling.

Is the pendant real Wedgwood? Can you see the back of it to tell how old it is?

Marko, I've said this before, but I love your photos. You do a really good job.

And the Wallace dish is nice, evelyb!
