I'm not sure this is actually peach blow but I wasn't sure how to describe it. It's cased pink over white and fades from dark to pale pink with an ivory white foot. A bit over 10" tall. There's a faint A E mark on the bottom. I tried to scrub the mark to make sure it wasn't added in pencil, and it won't come off.

Any help with the description and maker would be great!

    Thanks so much!

Yes, there's a dash between the letters. Any clue on what they mean?

I did a number of searches on that variation but didn't find anything. I looked at some peach blow vases and didn't see that mark either. I just wanted to mention it in case you were searching with just AE or A E.

I found a reference to A+E on a blenko vase, which described two artists. Designed by Andrew Shaffer & Emma Walters ( A+E) - Signed

That's very interesting. So you think the dash is just bad etching and should have been with the upside down V shape?

I do think that's an "A", but I have no idea what it means.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There's a slight chance it's Л - Е from the Cyrillic alphabet. When printed by hand, the first letter can sometimes look like that. Probably not, but just in case... In our alphabet ЛЕ is equivalent to LE...

Actually, that letter in the Greek alphabet is even closer. It still would be equivalent to LE.

Excellent observation. I didn’t think of other language characters.

I think you are putting way to much emphasis on the mark - I think they are just shape numbers... this vase should be uranium based - have you tried to blacklight it? the colors are very cold - as opposed to warm hue examples produced by the New England makers of America - thus I believe it is English - probably Thomas Webb

Thanks. I threw away my old blacklight when we moved. I’ll try to get one tomorrow and see what happens.

I have a small flashlight. I bought it online but you could probably get them elsewhere.

Finally got a UV flashlight! The vase does glow as you can see. So do you think this is American vs. English? TIA.

The base, which is annealed to the upper, also glows.
