It is not cold to touch so it is not glass nor stone. I guess some type of resin? To me it looks like carved rather than molded but could be wrong. Doubt that it has some significant age. Maybe vintage?

I don't think it's resin. The light's wrong through it, it doesn't have the sort of cross section for want of a better word, and those flaws look natural. How heavy does it feel?

    Hi Laura,
It resembles soapstone but it would feel cool to the touch. He says it does not feel cool which leaves me thinking some kind of resin also. God i hate making guess when I can not handle something.

Correct, it is not cool to touch so I am rulling out any type of stones, unless there are warm ones. Wonder if it is still natural material or composite.

Please remember vintage by itself has no meaning. It could be vintage 2014.

I know what you are saying but you know what I mean by vintage. That topic has been discussed many times.

I've got some bits I picked up in Hong Kong which are glass - which is what this looks like.

    Test it for bakelite.

Rub it with a pink silver polish, if it turns yellow it's positive.
