R. Bonin Landscape with Pond Oil Painting '87

I picked this up at a local thrift shop for $25. I believe it is by Robert G Bonin from Mansfield, Ohio. The stretcher bars are 36" by 30". Very well done in my opinion. Has a small repair that seems to have been done professionally. There seems to be some confusion on the dates for the artist, I saw a couple different birth dates. All comments and additional information greatly appreciated.

 

Certainly in keeping with his other work. 1911 birth date according to his tombstone (if this is indeed he.)

Lith, you need to step away and zoom a little, doesn't do the painting any justice being shot like that

Makes the painting look off

 

When your taking the picture make sure the frame is parallel to the camera window, else it's gonna look warped

it's a nice painting.....
keep it till 2087 and it'll be an antique !

 

Uh oh, looks like I botched the ID of the artist. I went back to the same thrift store and was digging through the bins and found this painting. There was a business card on the back for Russ Bonin. I did find a Russell Bonin, I will contact him.
