I found these yesterday at a local thrift store - the wand I thought at first was a toy from Harry Potter! But I haven't seen one with a metal tip or a cross on the handle, so I tried to do a image search & still couldn't find mine - I found some wands and something called dirks - what is this? PS - The last pic shows it with the middle bands as they should be - with the tapering of the wand they slide down unless I pushed them up until the wand is wider and holds them The 2nd piece is a set of 3 cartoon paintings. I first found some cartoon prints/posters, but then in a bag I saw more - except they were the original paintings on boards (photo app on computer won't open photo I took of back of paintings, but they are on something called Bainbridge Board 80) of the prints/posters I'd found earlier! There were 6 or 7 of these paintings but after trying to find an artist named 'Marygold' and image searching the unique signature with a Marygold flower in it but still coming up blank, I decided to just buy 3 and bring them here to see if I should buy the rest. Does anyone know who the artist of these are? If an unknown is there any value in cartoon paintings - maybe for a child's room? Any help/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
Except for the cross… Verger’s wand? The prints may be vintage Marigold Press. No clue on the individual artist. Love these.
Maybe if I image search each character I can find a story it went with? What do I call it? Comic art? Children's art?
Sneaker looks more like Adidas than Nike, but they started around the same time in the 60s. In the US in those days they were known as track shoes; sneakers were tennis shoes from the likes of Keds & PF Flyers. (And look at Farrah's skateboard! The size they were when kids started making them from a piece of board & a metal sidewalk skate.)
I’d call it Vintage Colorful Comic Animal Art Paintings. I think they’re terrific. i’d hang them but love them for a kid’s room.
Journey - you’re spelling it Marygold (with a Y) in your earlier post - be sure to use the correct spelling Marigold (with an I) for searching & etc.
I will remember it's I not Y! ANY idea what these are worth? Or if they are from any children's story or cartoon?
