    One i never could find.

Who knows this juwelers maker mark?
Put it under juwelery as it is from a pewter buckle which were commonly made and marked by juwelers.
They made the silver versions, and then some cheaper pewter in the same matrix.

It is a makers mark somewhere between 1720-1790. TK or IK.
Could be Dutch or imported (UK, Germany, France?)

Could you show the buckles? I have one set of old shoe buckles so I know very little but would love to see them.

I do have some pewter marks books though not specific to jewelry. Are there any additional marks?

I'm out of resources in those i have available while looking for this one. As explaned mostly made by juwelers so that could give a new chance.
No additional marks. Just this one.

The chance yours are the same is small. If you put up an image of your buckles i usually can date them quick (eu, 0-1800ad, with references).
You can do it in this topic, or your own (but please call me in then so i won't miss it).

Here are a few marks that may not help but might be a start. Some silver marks and some pewter marks that have IK or TK as part of the mark

I mentioned my buckles to show that I don't know much but if you show yours someone else might recognize something about them. (I will put mine just after this post:))

These are my buckles, the mechanisms don't match. Not good photos but I was getting help from three kittens.

It's a georgian shoe buckle. Style dating 1720-1790.
Your's seem to fit mostly to the first. Square, position flowers. 1760-1790 then?
And indeed. For these types 6 mechanisme types are known. You have two of those.

BEWARE to conservate them. With warm wax or whatever.
The bar is fit with an iron pin. Usually these type of buckles loose their bar while the iron is corroded away and the shape and spong falls out.
So warm wax, that it conservates that iron pin within. Shallowly isn't enough.

Here some references. I have more, but not found exacly yours yet.

Very nice. Love these stylish types :woot:

For sure it's a great start

With the style dating from the buckle it should be james ker edinburgh, james keating dublin, or james kirkup then.
Rectangle stamp, so i would say Keating or Kirkup. Ker's has a bump in it (not rectangle).

And i mostly see a IK in it. Or do you really see a TK in it? (TK would be more specific if so)

No mather what, many thanks. As this is the first time i found names with it. I'm happy with this :D

I think i may say i know enough, and have enough reference about ancient buckles to determinate them myself. There's no quick pitfall for me.
Just makers marks as these often are a question to me (understandable i guess?).

Hope your happy with the dating.

Thank you for taking the time to post references for buckles similar to mine! I've had them for awhile and have believed them to be 18th C so thank you for the confirmation.

Hopefully someone with additional information will be along that might help find jewelry makers for your buckle.
