I bought this old(?) theatre poster from my friend who is the owner of a local thrift store/2nd hand store. I am wondering if it might be real? It has some marks on lower right side (see photo) that runs along the edge of the matting that I'm curious if it'd be on a copy/poster?
    I found one on Abe's Books that measures 31.6" x 23" and mine measures 31.5" x 22.5"(visible art)
Is there anything I can check to find out if mine is a real antique or just a copy?

I also found this mid century(?) nude statue with an unusual 'mottled' gold color that reminds me of a Marilyn Monroe pose in the calender shoot she did! It's initialed MP on bottom

What is it made of? Plaster? Ceramic?
Any thoughts would be appreciated - going to try to put it on eBay tonight!

    Thanks for any help!

Plaster wouldn't have a smooth ' glaze' feel would it? (More than just whatever the painted/colored it with)

Yes plaster has a very smooth surface, the white looks like plaster, the orange - something to make it look old. You can see from the bottom that someone took it out of a rubber mould and initialed into the wet plaster. Plaster is not very impervious to fluids, unlike porcelain, so I can see why the color is rubbing off.

Not if not many were made.
Remember the old joke, "the one that broke the mold"??
Yours had a torn mold on the bottom to come away with a crack like that in the plaster. That crack is not something that happened afterwards, but during the setting of the plaster in the mold.

I think she's really nice, may be rare, looks to be early 1950s.

The "MP" on the bottom appears to indicate this is a hand made plaster piece.
