Another old brooch!

Would this also be c1900?
The top appears to be soldered to the back, wondering if the front could be earlier than the back and clasp?
Back looks gold but isn’t.
The pearl is odd as for that age I’d expect it to have lost it’s coating but it’s like glass on the outside rather than that fish scale stuff that comes off if they get wet? c1.5cm across.

Back might be slightly earlier with that hinge, but certainly cusp of the centuries.

You've good old paste as the border, I'd have expected a stone centre or nothing at all, even - a ring of stones. I reckon someone took an older piece, maybe a button, which either never had a middle or lost it, added the back. Later, someone added the pearl. It's too much of a globe to have been the original centre even if there was one?

 

It's certainly made to resemble old precious jewelry. Silver color on the font with gold on the back. The pearl ...dunno. People get weird ideas sometimes and jewelers any old time!

 

A button would fit with the front and the back not quite pairing up. It’s obviously had quite a life!. I’m going to try to clean it as it’s very dirty.

Cotton bud with a bit of vinegar or window cleaner spray on it. Old toothbrush on the stones with care.
