And the second group, Mother of Pearl pins, age help please.

This second group are Mother of Pearl. Two name pins, which when researching, come up as 1920's and some as 1940's. When were they popular? Also the little hat pin with the boots, would that have been made around the same time? And finally, the airplane propeller pin (not MOP), any idea when that would have been made? These all came in a lot with a WWII MOP sweetheart bracelet, if that helps.

And PS, I know they all need cleaning.

Thanks for looking and for the assistance. It is very appreciated.

Nancy Sinatra is Rockin! And for those who have "helicopter mothers," Christmas is coming! :)

I have no information of a helpful nature, but I think those last two are adorable!

Those names go from the 20s to at least the 50s. Hat looks 50s ish. And the propeller is the "newest", 60s. IMO!

Thanks OBB. That's a long a time span on the name pins. I guess I'll just say vintage.

Thanks for chiming in Silverbell, I agree the last two are cute. Especially the hat and tiny boots.

I've a feeling some of the name ones were made as fair souvenirs and the like. Twisted to order on the day.

Interesting information Ownedbybear. I love learning the history of jewelry types. Fair souvenirs makes sense.

You do still get people doing wirework names in tourist spots in Spain, for example. Not with the MOP, just a name.

Somewhere I have one with 'Mother' that my Mom gave to my grandmother around the 1941 dating of the ads below:

Agree. My sister and I each got a silver wire name pin at a local fair in Michigan in the 1970s, just wire - no MOP. They were made in minutes while we waited.

I never knew the wire names were a "thing". Thanks to all for the information.
