Need help identifying painter

I was recently given a painting from an artist I can't find any information on. Any ideas?

 

Alonso Morales. A little Latin American folk art piece. Could/would you post a photograph of the back?

Here's the back. Also, the painting is about 6in x 6in.

 

Quite sweet but I suspect a little vintage souvenir piece. The blue & white reminds me of Peruvian ceramics (below) but I suspect its Mexican Talavera which can be very similar (below below.) The cookies look like Mexican polvorones too but could be from elsewhere. Alfonso Morales is a very generic name; doubtful you'll be able to identify.

By the way, your work would be described as a bodegón or still life, a very traditional type of Spanish painting. You can compare the composition of yours to this 1624 work by Spanish artist Alejandro de Loarte.
