Featured Scots Fusiliers Badge Date

    I’ve tracked this down to being an officers collar badge that has had the original hardware removed from the back and made into a brooch.
    The clasp and pin look quite old (late Victorian? @Ownedbybear @evelyb30 and other lovely peeps)
    @daveydempsey please can you help date the badge? I’ve looked at lots online and I can’t find another with this good quality thistle so I’ve run aground trying to date it.

    Could be from the Boer War 1899-1902 or WWI and appears to have been made into a Sweetheart Brooch.

    Given the back, I suspect Boer War. A 19 teens brooch wouldn't have a tube hinge.
