Thailand Metal Statue

    He everyone. I apologize for the poor pics. I was hoping to get some information on this little guy. Such as age, description... Stands 25" high. All metal. Thanks for any help at all.

    I wouldn't say horribly old, but he looks like he's having a good time. I bet @Any Jewelry knows how old he is.

    Could it be from before 1940...from Siam?

    I do see others calling it Siam Thai dancer. I was hoping to be able to date it from the tag. Thanks for the input.

    Oh I just noticed that the base that the foot is attached to is different also. It looks like yours has the same type of screw down base that komo's dancing lady does.

    That's the one, sort of. He is King Rama, of Ramayana fame. The Thai call the Ramayana Ramakien, they may have another name for King Rama too.
    Fairly recent, but probably the most beautiful of all Thai bronze statues.
    :facepalm::hilarious: Some sellers.:rolleyes: Thailand was never Anglo, and consequently they never had a Raj period.
    Not if Rama's wife Sita has anything to do with it.:smug:;)
