Recently aquired Large African Carving

Help me out please any info would greatly be appreciated. I had two other bidders against me. I paid a good bit. Hoping it works out.

 

it's sweet....but tourist art...not anything old

It is a modern carving, as komokwa noted, made for sale. It depicts a Maasai woman and child, most probably made by a Kamba carver in Kenya.

 

Thanks for that info. I always wondered who made them, because it is not a Maasai craft.
