    Hi everyone!
I bought this silver choker length heart necklace which was described as art-deco era, but the necklace is completely unmarked. I was wondering if it seemed like an accurate description of it's age? I know it's not always possible to be sure with no markings (I'm a sucker for buying unmarked things- usually cheaper:rolleyes:) but I havn't been able to find similar examples to compare! heartchoker.jpg heartchoker2.jpg heartchoker 3.jpg

    Very pretty, Kimbert.
To my European eyes it looks like it could be American Art Deco.

I'd need to see the back to be sure. The front could be any age at all; it's not screaming 1930s at me in the slightest.

I keep going back to edit my post with the updated pics, and I just keep messing it up haha so I will leave it be! Just ignore the doubles of pictures!

Looks like it's die stamped, something you would get for a young girl at the local 5 & dime store.

thanks for the info!! The hearts and all that do make it look like it's possibly children's jewelry, I just wonder if it would be a bit big on a young girl. The way it's made, it only sits flat if it's collar length (slanting up on the neck) and I feel like it would be longer than that on a child and not sit nicely
    (it's 15 inches)

I'd be more inclined to think 1950s teenager than 1930s adult. That die stamping design just doesn't look like it's from the 1930s or earlier.

sounds like a plausible hunch to me!

and teenager would be consistent with the way it fits on me (very small neck compared to av. adult, but not child sized,)

That speaks fifties to me, too.
