Is this Tourmaline?

    Or something else?
    Quite chunky beads of 1/2” to 1”
    Only thing I could think of was tourmaline? Most have some parallel striations but some are less organised. Maybe restrung?
    Thanks for any ideas :)

    Doesn't look like the right growth structure for tourmaline, but other than that can't really help, sorry.

    Another vote for not tourmaline. It actually looks to me something more of the tiger eye sort of thing.

    No idea,it has been tumbled and there is no crystal structure.What does your gem tester say?

    RPR - Random Pretty Rock. Best I've got. The dogbone beads look like dyed Chinese coral.

    Possibly serpentine? Or maybe not. This one is hard to pinpoint.

    They look like the glass beads you find on Turkish and Kurdish jewellery. I should have a photo of an example somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.
