    Hello all,
I found this cup at a Garage sale this morning in Montreal for a few dollars, it had been previously sold at a local auction house, or so the sticker beneath it said at the least.
From my (naive) research, I've found little more than that it's a Japanese satsuma cup - possibly of rather early origins, representing buddhist disciples of some sort.
I'd love some info on it if anyone has any!
    Thanks in advance!

I think it’s pretty and attractive but that’s all (in my opinion) There’s a lot of this type of thing around and selling for not much money. But let’s hear what the other more knowledgeable members say.

Can you post nice clear closeups of the red marks?

If you can get a better picture of the backmark, it would help.

Looking into the file, I see a possible match with Kobayashi Keizan?
But now all the Kizan marks are starting to look similar to me, so...
    Any confirmation?

Yeah, I am not sure it is a match
