Featured Glass coaster

Anyone know what kind of glass coaster this is ?

Initial reaction is a fused glass item likely done at one of the craft shops offer kiln services with sale off the materials.

 

Isn't that why they invented penicillin?

 

my first thought too... a Petri box!

 

I believe those 'germs' are canes. They seem to have length to them.

 

Also looks like those plastic feet on the cornors

 

my friend told about a year ago the name of them but I forgot. Nobody knows

 

I'd call them jellyfish coasters.
What's a bunch of jellyfish called ?
I'd have guessed a "fleet" but it's a "smack".
Ordinarily called a "bloom" or "swarm".
As usual, no help here !
