Anything special here? Definitely earlier chairs, maybe 1950s plus or minus? The backs are sort of curved. Upholstery needs to be replaced, but it is sort of set up to easily replace. Could these be from a known maker? No tags or anything on the bottom, just some numbers in grease pencil. Thanks for taking a look.

Thank you. They were $5 each at the GW, just set out. A bit problematic, I have no desire to get furniture as I don't have a store (these would be for resale) but I felt I couldn't leave them.

If someone recognizes the style or maker, please let me know.

Quite solid, sit evenly, and have the metal pads on the bottom of the legs. The had old movers sticky labels on them from some cross country move. Thinking they are early 1950s maybe?? I think key will be if they can maybe connected with a company. I think they still have some resale value, but if they could be matched to a company that is a collected maker, will help. Thanks.

The upholstery fabric is late 1960s/early 1970s.

I already threw them out. You know --kind of "blue tape" like labels movers put on furniture to identify the owner? Matching numbers for the same household? I don't know why I mentioned it, but the labels looked older, as if the move was a while back. Doesn't really mean anything for the chairs which are clearly vintage so not sure why I mentioned it. In any case, I pitched those.

I even wondered if they had been reupholstered. It seems like kind of an odd fabric match for these, but could be original. Maybe if we can find the maker and view similar we will know for sure. Thanks. If original, that would date the chairs to late 60s/early 70s. Still a good time frame for collectors. Thanks!

No, I don't know. And labels are always helpful for dating.

I very much doubt that fabric is original.

Think these to be late 50s-60s and the upholstery is definitely not original. Might check to see if original is underneath. Can't place them but think they would sell on their own merits.
