Featured Green and Black Art Pottery Vase

    This vase is 7 3/4" tall. Anyone know who might have made it?

    No, but it kind of looks like some I made in home ceramics in the seventies! :)

    GOOD! :) Is it a 1970s piece, or when?
    The heavily dripped glaze gathered around the bottom sprue marks looks odd to me. Glad you found the maker.

    Anti...late teens early 20's? Found this on the internet.

    "John Peters retired in 1921 and Reed changed the name of the company to Zane Pottery Company. In 1941, they were sold to Gonder Pottery and it closed for good in 1957."

    OH! Gonder! Although my hazed memory thought it was "Gondor" until I read this. That makes total sense to me, pre-Zane/Gonder days. It absolutely does resemble these glazes.
