Are there any (ceramic) turkey experts in the house?

Discussion in 'Pottery, Glass, and Porcelain' started by The Junk Lady's Son, Aug 30, 2022.

  1. My mother recently purchased this ceramic turkey from a thrift store, suspecting that it was much older than many comparable ones being produced. It's around 7 x 5.5 inches and 7 inches tall. The mark on the base looks like ##98 over what I think is ITALY. The closest match I've been able to track down is a similar turkey from Sur La Table, but that's larger and obviously much newer.

Does anyone recognize the mark or have any other leads?

If in the USA, he's looking for a Thanksgiving table to sit on. I bet he had a ladyfriend originally.
