Got this great set from the same estate I got the Mexican MATL-style set and the abalone pearl earrings that I asked about a couple of weeks ago. It is gold filled or gold plated, not solid gold.

What time period do you all think this set is from? I am thinking 1920s art deco, from the time when King Tut's tomb was discovered, but I also see some King Tut jewelry described as Edwardian/Victorian period, and the locket construction makes me think maybe earlier than 1920s.

Also, what do you think the numbers 9 and 14 on the back of the earrings mean?

I'm not seeing "King Tut" on your (fabulous!) set... the face/mask looks quite different.

Although attractive, am not seeing a lot of age on your set.
The cuttings are cut rather raggedy as opposed to quality antiques.
I am curious to know what those numbers mean too, perhaps someone will come along soon who can enlighten us :)

Beautiful set, drg. Not King Tut, but a random Egyptian Pharaoh.;)
I agree with your thinking that this set is older than the discovery of King Tut's tomb, and place it ca 1900. So after the introduction of screwback earrings ca 1890. Still very much a 19th century face and Egyptian Revival style enamel.

I think the numbers are a manufacturers code, which part goes where.
It looks goldplated, there seems to be silvery shimmer in the gilding(?) on the pendant, just above the head.

Thank you all. I had thought maybe a young King Tut, but random Pharaoh it is.

What looks a little silvery in the photo is wear to the gilding. Doesn't look silver in hand.

Yes, I thought so. Good that it doesn't show in real life.

The seller dates this gold ring, with a similar Pharaoh, ca 1900 as well:

Your set is gilded, but it still has a nice value. I don't know how much exactly, maybe someone can find a similar set.:)

Wow, that is the same face. Thank you!
I have been researching to come up with a value, and haven't settled on anything yet.

    Stunning find!

Do you think that the pendant is one of those meant to hold hair strands?

    What a cool set. :singing:

I agree on Edwardian or late Victorian. I'm not to fussed that the construction is slightly sloppy: not all antique jools are high craft. Stuff was made to be marketed at lower prices.

    It's a fabulous set.

I have to say, how similar they both look on first appearances, but LOVE @drg642's settings SO much more than the ring....the colors and settings seem so much more original....and yes, the ring looks like a newer more modern copy...TO ME!!
