    The registry number is earlier, but that's fine, it got assayed later.

    Talk about cultural appropriation by the Brits.

    Didn't realize that was the coat of arms of the kingdom of Ireland. Learn something every day (almost.)

    Thanks all. Ive mentioned before I have an affinity for Irish things because my late partner was all about anything Irish. He would have loved it. His birthday is sept 2nd so I guess I was feeling all sentimental when I saw it. With a name like Maccue I guess he had no choice but to worship Ireland !

    Thank you,thats very kind. Every year on his birthday I get a little sad. He was a great guy,mainly because in all our years together he just rolled his eyes and sighed when i drug in more crap but never forbade me from dragging in more.He also went to estate sales and thrift stores and never complained when I know it bored him to tears. Now that was love . :)

    I have a gold and diamond heart necklace that a boyfriend gave me so many years ago. He passed on very young unexpectedly, but that necklace means so much to me.
    I look at it and I am back to the day he gave it to me.

    It is a beautiful memory to have, and I'm sure it enriched your life being loved by such a loving and generous man. Your beautiful spoon is a symbol of that memory, don't ever get rid of it.

    Sorry @bercrystal .:oops::bag::kiss:
    They also copied Scottish pebble jewellery.;)

    I am sorry about your boyfriend, that must have been a shock at an early age. That diamond heart necklace is such a beautiful memory.

    I am part Irish. I have a small collection of stuff that has been given to me & that I have come upon at different times. I finally got it organized just last week in the bottom 2 sections of a barrister's bookcase that I can now see from my desk chair. It was fun to do because I had totally forgotten that I had a lot of it. :rolleyes::rolleyes: :bag::bag: :shame:
