Hi folks, I haven't posted on here in so long I forgot my original user account info.

Anyway once in a while you find something you can't identify although it's signed.
    So any ideas...
I am located in the U.S. and I believe this is a UK site? Just an idea of where I am located. The piece maybe U.S. or not.
The floral design is slightly raised. You can feel the design if you run your hand over the piece.

Hi! Hi! Are you having problems posting photographs? Someone will along to help in a little bit. In meantime, this is an international site with lots of members from both the UK and the US.

A slightly worn "Made In Japan" (in English!)

I believe it may have been originally manufactured as a white clear glazed ceramic vase blank and decorated by an amateur ceramicist who also scripted Made in Japan on the bottom.

I think we need to see more of the decoration and a example of what MDF is calling "raised."

Thanks. I will get better pics up in the morning. These pics aren't that great. To dark. This is really unusual looking. It's not like the common black floral wear you see. These pics don't show that. Or links......

Still like to know why the image hosting isn't working on here. Shrug.

Did you not click on Upload a File? That's one of the two ways to post an image here.

Same thing I have always done on a site like this. Use an image hosting site. Using the image Icon in the functions at the top of the post response. And the exact image hosting site I used on here a few years ago.
And it shows it in the post, and then I post it and it looks like it does below.
Only site that's it's doing this on.
And I am not resizing images. Thanks for the input.

The picture of the bottom is 3.19 MB, so that won't upload to the board. 1 MB is the limit. For some reason the picture of the vase is only 141 KB, which should upload here I'm going to try it.

Hopefully you can get a picture outside tomorrow. Backlit pictures from daylight coming in the window don't usually turn out well.

I know, it's a quick pic. I wouldn't list it with that pic online.

Again, that postimage.org site works great, and is very simple. I use it often on all kinds of sites with no issue.

Weirdness abounds! Now I get a picture of the bottom at 131 KB.

Hard to see on a backlit picture, but could it be one of those Japanese copies of Gouda plateel?
