... from books to postcards to prints and beyond. I've developed some skills at identifying interesting and rare postcards, as well as what books will be of interest to other collectors. I have several postcards that seem to be of an event, or of historical interest, such as the two examples here -- staged photos of interest to those posing at least. (I believe the first is of Henri Letellier's Le Journal, but have no proof as yet.) I have various items from my father's attic that I am trying to work my way through. anti2.jpg Anti1.jpg

The first appears to be a group of artists with a model. (See the easel in the background.) Le Journal was published in Paris from 1892 to 1944. Your photograph would date to early in that period. It was described as "the most Parisian, the most literary, and the most boulevardier of the newspapers of Paris" which makes it a natural choice for a group of Bohemians.

Don't think that's a wedding. Looks more like a ceremonial queen, consort, court and pages. Asian, of course. To my eye looks Filipino but could be wrong.

Would you be kind enough to also post a photograph of the back of your post cards? The backs can provide useful information for dating.
